The Geek, The Biker & YouTube OR Confessions of a YouTube Addict

Wow, all this change on the website site is cool, but kind of disconcerting.

My social media elf has been on at me to finish the new logo so she can change Facebook, Instagram and the shop over to the new colours, but I’ve been too busy drawing and designing. I can hear her sighing now as she loads this month’s designs, and I’m bracing myself for a lecture on branding any time now.

This month I’ve indulged myself with a geek design, and I’ve been playing round with an old idea, turning it into something different.

My day job I work as a cyber guy. Okay, I’m a geek, and proud of it! In my spare time I avidly watch YouTubers in cyber and hacking, and I dream of one day becoming an ethical hacker. While I’m watching my favourite channels, I play around with geeky drawings. I came up with this month’s geek design during one of these sessions.

#Cyber is a little darker than some of my previous designs, but when I was growing up hacking was a bit on the dark-side.

Now that I think about it, I drew my second design this month while watching YouTube as well. Which is not surprising as—full disclosure—I may be addicted to YouTube.

This time it was a biker channel, and the host was riding a Norton ??? I love Norton bikes! I especially love the retro feel of them. If more people bought my t-shirts, I’d definitely buy one.

In the past I’ve drawn perfect replica’s of bikes. This time, perhaps inspired by the bad boy #Cyber, I’ve added a little ROAR and some colour.

These designs are a departure from my previous style and I’d be interested to hear what you think.

Ho, hum, back to my logo design. Or perhaps I can slip in a little YouTube first…,
